It Is Well
…praying that you will hold onto hope long enough that you will be able to look back years later and see the journey from that darkness as a testament that God is who He says He is and will do what He says He’ll do.
Oh hello little hand!
I realize as mommas we serve and we serve and we serve and then there’s that moment when you reach for your child’s hand and they don’t grab it. It’s as if they have the audacity to just cross the street walking beside you instead of hand-in-hand; as if to shout it from the rooftops that they don’t need you.
Sanctuary
Creating these spaces of serenity in my life are a must. I realize I have to make deliberate choices to reflect what is important to me. Peace. Simplicity. Gratitude. Reflection. These are musts and I know no one else is going to to be holding me accountable in these areas. So here’s your encouragement. Think of those things you need for your own wellness and don’t neglect them!
I love you, but I don’t want to see your castle.
Barefoot and rocking only a Paw Patrol pull-up, the little blonde haired, blue-eyed three year old pushes my door open, peeks inside while holding a tire gauge, and says, “Momma, you wanna see my castle?” First off, let me just take a moment of silence to allow my heart to break because he said that sentence like a big boy only five minutes after he climbed into his own bed and told me goodnight. The child has slept in my bed for three years and five months and all of a sudden he’s just like adios, see ya tomorrow Brooke while raising his man sized coffee cup and tipping his hat.
